SOL Day 16: Are you kind?
Raising a daughter is tricky. You want her to feel comfortable in her skin. You want her to believe she can do anything. You don’t want her to feel that her self worth is measured on anyone’s ruler but her own. How do you do all that?
SOL Day 14: a hairy situation

Twas the morning after Tuesday, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
LLR leggings were hung to dry on the chair
In hopes that they would never rip, bust or tear.

SOL Day 11: Sundays are for family
Sundays are for family.
We usually sleep in as late as two kids will sleep, cuddle up in Mom and Dad’s…all four of us, have a big lazy breakfast, watch a movie or two in our PJs, head over to visit great Grandpa, and have dinner at his favorite restaurant.
SOL Day 9: Floyd and Edgar
My grandfather had this giant motorhome he would park right in his driveway. This thing was legit seeming like it was a hundred feet long! It slept quite a few of us when we all trekked to Florida one year. All told, there were 4 adults and about 6 kids ranging in age from one to about fifteen, I think. This motorhome had a name…Edgar.

There was this teacher long ago. She took an interest in me when I felt like I was invisible in a sea of a half dozen other McKenna kids. Yes. We were THAT Irish Catholic family.
