Each Friday, I am hoping to list some things I am thankful for from throughout the week. So continuing for this week…

- days filled with tap, swimming, basketball, and friends
- delicious pizza shared with friends
- the cleaning lady and coming home to a clean house
- a well-placed work-from-home day
- coworkers who know your McD drink order and surprise you with an afternoon pick-me-up
- nights when all the activities are cancelled
- free pie night
- a husband whose takes care of all things car related knowing that car issues give you high anxiety
- sunshine
- quiet mornings in the car to listen to a good book
- a BFF who thinks of you through quick videos and memes
- the financial freedom to spoil others
- last month’s Karyn who froze chili for nights when I just didn’t have it in me
- falling asleep before 10
- nights when everyone goes to bed without arguing
- my calendar
- memories of loved ones that come flooding in when you most need them

I am writing for the 19th annual Slice of Life challenge presented by Two Writing Teachers.

So many things to be grateful in that I share in common. Curious about free pie nights?!

We still have a local Bakers Square. Wednesday is free pie night. We took advantage of it this week!

“Nights when all activities are canceled” Isn’t an unexpected night with nothing to do, the best?

Tap dancing? Oh, I want to hear more. Do you tap or is one of your children? It’s just that I don’t hear of children tap dancing very much anymore. Is it becoming a lost art? #curious

My middle guy takes a tap class through the park district on Saturday mornings. There is a show in May. Last year there were several adult tap groups! So I would say check out your park district!!
