If I had more time. It’s something we all say. There’s not enough time. Ever. I wish. I wish. I wish.
If I had more time I would binge all the TV shows that have been on my ever-growing list.
If I had more time I would have snoozed the alarm and snuggled up to my husband for an extra few minutes.
If I had more time I would have taken a long relaxing everything shower than the quick maintenance only sprinkle.
If I had more time I would have made the kids eggs for breakfast like they love as a mid week surprise.
If I had more time I would have finished up a few more granny squares for my newest crochet project.
If I had more time I would have pulled the kids into my bed for morning snuggles.
If I had more time I would have read an extra couple chapters in my book.
If I had more time I would stop putting off those dinners or coffee dates with my oldest friends.
The thing is…there is never more time. There is never enough time. I cant find anymore or buy it. I cannot even make time. So I will need to prioritize it. Allow myself the gift of time for the important things while letting the other things go. I
just don’t know where to start. What do you let go to give yourself the gift of time?

I am writing for the 19th annual Slice of Life challenge presented by Two Writing Teachers.

My answer is always to make it a checklist challenge! Challenge yourself to do one of your “If I had more time” things one day a week. I have decided that I have to stop feeling guilty about self-care and I am trying to make time for that more regularly. Think of those things as things that make you feel happier and there you have guilt-free self care!

You are so right about time, the powerful factor that determines so much of what we decide to do. Some of the day is always mandated with precise minutes of accountability but I wonder if we could find a few minutes here or there if we “put” those want to do on a must do list?

I love the format of your slice. This resonates with me so much… everyday is dictated by time, yet there really isn’t enough!

Excellent! Love this structure! Maybe it could be “If I took more time…” 🙂
