Hurry. We are late.
Hurry. I’m going to be late for work. Your friends are waiting for you.
Hurry. My coffee it getting cold.
Hurry. The inbox is overflowing.
Hurry. I’m late for that appointment.
Hurry. It’s time to get the groceries.
Hurry. You need to get your homework done.
Hurry. We have to get to Scouts.
Hurry. I forgot you have that thing.
Hurry. Get in your PJs.
Hurry. Potty and teeth. It’s time for bed.
We need to start enjoying each other.
We need to stop hurrying.
We need to slow down.
I need to slow down.
When will I slow down?
All this hurry leaves little time for…anything.
I don’t want all their memories to be of mommy hurrying them through life.
I need to slow down
I need to stop hurrying.

The repetition of hurry started to make me feel anxious which really drove your message home. We all have to stop hurrying, but this world doesn’t make it easy.

Golly, I remember saying all those things when our kids were young. It really is a deliberate action, isn’t it? Often I still must force myself to slow down…FMF friend.

It really is awfully hard to live life without feeling rushed all the time! We could all use the reminder to slow down and enjoy the moments we have. Visiting from FMF#14
