I am wrapping this month up on a joyful note…figuratively and literally.
We are on our annual getaway to an old fashioned family resort in the Midwest. I enjoyed some spa time. the kids have been swimming until waterlogged. We are sleeping in late and playing games. All is right with the world.

But I also literally wrapped up the month with joy. I have been working on a daily crochet project inspired by Crafting Mama on TT. Have you heard of a temperature blanket? It’s kind of like that but more of a temperature check of my day. Every day, I crochet a round on a granny square. One square for each month. The color chosen to crochet depends on how my day went. It is a way for me to take the temperature of my day and do a quick reflection. In January, it started with 5 colors and a filler (used to fill in days 29-31 in shorter months): calm, busy, sick, win, and dumpster fire. But I found that limiting so I added one for chaos and fine. Then…I decided I need a joyful and sad. At the end of 12 months, I’ll have a large cozy blanket that is a physical representation of my entire year. It’s like a journal.
Today was joyful. No surprise. I’m on a vacation and had a spa day. I started the day by sleeping in and having a latte brought to me by my husband. I got a massage and facial. I swam and had a delicious sandwich…IYKYK. I didn’t make dinner. I am planning to watch a movie later tonight.
There’s my joy.
PURE. JOY.

Until next year, folks!
Some other photos of our history at the resort as well as my monthly grannies and the stats for them.
