17 SOL 26: A Leprechaun Fib

Borrowing this structure from Blogged but Unspoken. It is a Fib (Fibonnaci) Poem. It has 6 lines. The first 2 lines are 1 syllable each, followed by 2 syllables, then 3, 5 and 8 syllables for the sixth line.

Oh

My.

Long day.

Just home now.

He is still awake…

wanting to make leprechaun traps.

I’m just getting home after a long day of visiting the DMV, the Apple Store, then a parent teacher conference day where we worked until 7pm. I left the house around 8:15 and have been going ever since. After changing into my PJs, taking some Motrin, and listening to the kids read together, George begins an epic meltdown at 8:30 because he wants to make a leprechaun trap. NOW.

Never mind that they did this yesterday at a park district program where they built traps, hunted clovers, and did art projects. Apparently this was not sufficient.

I haven’t even eaten dinner yet. For Pete’s sake. I just cannot today.

I am writing for the 19th annual Slice of Life challenge presented by Two Writing Teachers.
