Today we celebrated George’s Boy Scout Blue & Gold Dinner. Like last year, Regular Grandpa and Great Grandpa joined us. And although no one was sick this year, everyone was exhausted from the Daylight Savings Time transition and too much fun at their sleepovers last night.
McKenna wanted to skip all together preferring to have never left Aunt Eve’s house. George wanted to play outside rather than head to celebrate with his friends. But luckily Theo was on board when he heard there was going to be an animal show. It took a bit of cajoling, but we finally got everyone to concede.
Awards were awarded. Pizza was eaten. Cake was devoured. And fun was actually had by all. After snapping a few pictures, we headed home. Of course, since Theo was the only one behaving earlier, he was the first to incur the dreaded DST meltdown.
Many, MANY tantrums later…after much negotiating…they are all in bed. Hopefully they are sleeping. It’s going to be a rough morning.
