They played on their iPads this morning. George has been building tree houses and other things in Minecraft. I have no idea what he is talking about when he tells me all about but so I just nod my head and smile. Theo played Starfall before moving on to watch Blippi and Meekah. McKenna has been obsessed with reading. She downloads books from Libby to read or listen to while she crochets. Yes. She is an old lady stuck in an almost 9 year olds body.

They only get an hour of iPad with the exception of reading and music. Those they can have unlimited. I was fully expecting a meltdown when their hour was up but it never came. George disappeared to the basement to draw. McKenna kept reading. And Theo hung with me.

Grandpa arrived just after lunch to take the kids for the night. Aaron and I had an appointment in the early evening. And since we were kid free—we snuck in a date with diner and a show.

We get to sleep in tomorrow since we are both off. He will study for a bit for an upcoming certification test he is taking. I will do a little straightening up followed by some errands before we enjoy a pre planned happy hour date! Grandpa is planning to bring the kids back to hand them off to the sitter.

I could get used to this.
