Borrowing this structure from The Musing Millennial. Writing a slice about my observations from my spot in the bed using all my senses. Coincidentally, also a great way to ground yourself when you are feeling over stimulated.
I see my latest crochet project with all its cut ends haphazardly tossed on top of my crochet bag next to my bed.
I hear the wind and rain of the storm that has been brewing all day. The rain is now a soft pitter-patter but the wind is howling.
I feel the ache in my head from too much concentrating on handiwork without my glasses.
I smell the scent of my clean PJs against my skin as I hunker down for the night.
I taste the last bite of the slice of cold pizza I just stole from the fridge.

I am writing for the 19th annual Slice of Life challenge presented by Two Writing Teachers.
